Our backgrounds are incredibly varied and include IT, design and stay-at-home parenting. As parents, there is a little-recognized use for memes as some of us have discovered. By regularly noting the memes that our youngsters are passing on across their social media channels, we can easily spot any problems, such as racism or gender issues, and bring them out in the open with conversation. These problems may have slipped under the radar if it weren’t for memes.
The main thing we have in common is a mutual love and respect for the fluidity of the internet, and its place in the momentum of viral content.
