Aside from that, Trebuchet is also being used to throw things like animal corpses over the city walls. Although it is just like a medieval catapult, it is actually more accurate when it comes to the target distance.
How trebuchet works is quite simple. Trebuchet has a basket that is packed with heavy rocks. This is actually a counterweight for the other end of the device that is filled with bigger rocks. This type of catapult is believed to have first appeared in ancient China and it also records the first use it dating back to the 4th century BC.
